"I wanted to do some general fitness training but did not want to go to a gym. I was keen to have someone to help motivate, encourage and advise me in my own home at regular intervals – someone to keep me on track and to ensure I was doing exercises correctly. I found Ruth.
Ruth has been excellent. She asked me what my goals were – both short term and long term and together we agreed on a range of aerobic and strength exercises which she supervised during the sessions. In between her visits I had a schedule of exercises to do – all very achievable and nothing that I felt took over my usual life! She monitored my weight, my blood pressure and gave me regular updates on my progress. As a result my aerobic fitness definitely improved, I lost nearly a stone in weight (very easily) and my body has started to tone up.
In the beginning I knew I was unfit – there were lots of signs – I didn’t have masses of weight to lose – I was just very keen on getting my body to feel better, stronger and able to cope better with the challenges of life.
